Description

Newly discovered planets are easy targets for speculators and space adventurers. During a mining mission to a distant star system, an unusual moon is discovered by chance: dark, coal-black and highly radioactive. Its high gravity, extreme pressure and complete lack of oxygen make it deadly to life, yet it is rich in resources. They name it the Shroud and prepare to begin mining. A fatal accident forces three members of the support staff to make an emergency landing on the moon’s inhospitable surface. The Shroud is a place where humans should never set foot. Their small transport capsule cannot carry them back to the ship, nor can it contact it. Time is running out. If they are to survive, they have no choice but to undertake an exhausting journey across the dangerous moon. Yet its inhuman environment is not the worst thing awaiting them. They discover that they are not the only living beings hosted by the Shroud. Someone else is there, someone native to the moon, and that presence is beginning to recognise them. They have stared into the darkness, and the darkness has stared back. If they escape the Shroud, they will have to explain the impossible and the unbelievable, as well as face their own crew, who care nothing for this extraordinary world and only for the profit it can provide. If they return at all. Something breathes on the surface of the dead world. It waits. You are never alone. The contents are in Czech.
