Deepsix – McDevitt Jack (2023)

Maleiva III was considered a galactic rarity, an exoplanet that could host life. However, its time is rapidly running out as a rogue gas giant has invaded the planetary system, and its trajectory has a deadly collision course with the world now known as Deepsix. The planet will soon disappear forever. Priscilla "Hutch" Hutchins, a pilot of a starship belonging to the Academy of Science and Technology, is the only qualified expert within several light-years of Deepsix. With less than three weeks until disaster strikes, she descends to the surface with a small scientific team to gather any insights into the life forms and lost civilizations of this doomed planet.
