This guide has been updated from the previous edition according to new legislative regulations, specifically Act No. 250/2021 Coll. and the related government regulations No. 190/2022 Coll. and possibly No. 194/2022 Coll. It should be emphasized that the provisions of legislative regulations always have greater legal force than technical standards. The implementation of electrical installation inspections is governed by legal regulations and technical standards. Important electrical installations fall under so-called reserved technical equipment, for which the basic requirements are set by Act No. 250/2021 Coll. This act generally regulates the safety requirements for the operation of technical equipment. Additional legal regulations follow this act, and technical issues are addressed by the related technical standards. Both Act No. 250/2021 Coll. and the related legal regulations (in terms of inspections, this is government regulation No. 190/2022 Coll.) are based on European Union regulations. The technical standards ČSN addressing technical issues of the operation of technical equipment are (except for ČSN 33 1500:1990) adopted European standards or European harmonization documents, which in turn are based on international IEC standards.
