It is a powerful, sometimes frightening story about facing adversity and finding the light that guides us through the darkness. The graphic novel has received several prestigious awards, including an Eisner Award, a Lynd Ward Graphic Novel Prize Honor Book distinction, a Doug Wright Nipper Award and a Graphic Medicine Award. It was also included among the best books of the year by the American Library Association, the New York Public Library, Comics Beat and others.
