Description
Alice, an overweight woman, is abandoned by her husband because of her appearance. Her children then move away, leaving her completely alone in a huge old house. After spending a long time caring for her family while neglecting herself, she decides to change her life. She takes up exercise, tries to lose weight and aims to live healthily, but none of it goes well and she repeatedly fails. Just as she begins to enjoy her freedom and solitude, the empty house unexpectedly becomes an anthill full of uninvited family members. A new man also enters the chaos. This humorous novel for women, with a touch of romance, is entertaining while reminding us that although we constantly try to be different, we are best just as we are.
