Prvouka 3 - učebnice, Čtení s porozuměním (2026)

This Czech-language primary science textbook is the third in the series prepared in the Reading Comprehension edition. The guiding characters are third-grade pupils Jana and Lukáš, whose comic-strip conversations bring the real world closer. Chapters begin with motivational poems, riddles and extracts from children’s prose, followed by questions and tasks that develop reading literacy. New material or extensions of existing knowledge then introduce children to their surroundings, nature through the seasons and further information about the human body. The textbook focuses on developing key competencies and addressing cross-curricular themes. Questions and tasks relating to each topic, together with ideas for further activities such as games, group work, competitions and experiments, appear along the lower edge of the pages. Each is accompanied by a key word from the page translated into English. The textbook is supplemented by the Czech-language Prvouka 3 workbook and a teacher’s guide, with the workbook pages providing references to the corresponding textbook pages.
