Description

This modern, colourful Czech-language textbook follows the latest educational trends and is prepared in accordance with the Czech Framework Educational Programme for Basic Education. Published as part of the Reading Comprehension series, it supports the development of reading literacy. In an age-appropriate way, it introduces pupils to the history of the Czech lands from prehistoric times to the beginning of the modern era. The textbook is divided into four chapters, each followed by an engaging overview of the period and a review section with varied symbol-based assessment. Reviews also appear after each short chapter, along with a final review and an answer key for the exercises. The texts use clear, simple language that pupils can work with independently. The book includes numerous drawings and historical illustrations, as well as interesting tasks on every page, often connected with other school subjects. Engaging extracts from fiction and popular educational literature are accompanied by exercises checking reading comprehension. Simple, clearly arranged timelines and maps are also included. The textbook is supplemented by a colourful workbook for practising the material in an engaging and entertaining way.
