Cardiology has undergone a rapid development in recent decades. It is not so easy to navigate what all diagnostic and treatment methods we can offer our cardiologically ill patients today. The book does not aim to provide an exhaustive list or detailed description of individual methods. If the reader from the broader medical community uses this publication as a reference overview of the direction contemporary cardiology is taking with regard to the development of new non-pharmacological approaches, then it has fulfilled its purpose. It should also outline the areas where technological innovations are expected and how they can help our patients. The intention is for the publication not to quickly become outdated in content. Thanks to the fact that our healthcare system has been able to rapidly implement even the newest methods and procedures in modern history, Czech cardiology has become a symbol of a progressive approach in the world. Our patients expect this from us, after all.
