The book provides an interesting insight into rarer eye pathologies in adults and children through very popular and sought-after case studies. The presented information is based on the long-term experiences of the authors' team while working in clinical settings and specialized outpatient clinics. ***** We have tried to prepare cases for you whose clinical picture may not always be immediately obvious at first glance; many are associated with broader differential diagnostic considerations, but their timely and correct identification is crucial for preserving the patient's visual functions and, in some cases, even their life. ***** The case reports in the book are arranged by the age of the patients affected by specific eye diseases or complications. The youngest patient is 4 months old, and the oldest is 81 years old. The first ten case studies concern pediatric ophthalmology, while the next fourteen involve adult patients. The arrangement of case studies by patient age is intentional, as it allows the book to easily reflect the types of impairments that can be considered in different age decades. ***** Some case reports deal purely with eye issues, while others have interdisciplinary relevance, and therefore I believe that the book may be interesting in some aspects as well...
