The first volume of the book "Historical Railways in the Hradec Králové Region" loosely follows the publication "Historical Railways in the Pardubice Region." Here, readers will find nostalgia for the Austro-Hungarian and Czechoslovak interwar railways through historical photographs and interesting texts, as well as the mastery of designers, technicians, and workers who built and put into operation the railway network and its infrastructure in today's Hradec Králové Region in the second half of the 19th century. The first volume will guide readers through historical images along the sections of the Pardubice–Liberec, Jaroměř–Malé Svatoňovice–Královec routes, including the local line Královec–Žacléř, and the railways of the former ÖNWB company from Velký Osek–Trutnov and Chlumec na Cidlinou–Hradec Králové–Lichkov–Miedzylesie. The second volume will cover the main railway of the former StEG company from Choceň–Meziměstí–Otovice, as well as all remaining local railways.
