And that's a shame, as politics affects each of our lives every day. This book aims to dispel the misconception that politics is something distant, complicated, dirty, or even unimportant. On the contrary, it answers readers' frequent questions: Why is it important to be interested? How can one get involved? Where to find information? In thirteen concise chapters, you will find explanations of how today's fast-paced world full of information and disinformation works, and you will learn about many current topics that concern (not only) young people. The publication was created in collaboration with an author team involved in the project Politics (not only) for Young People, which aims to spread information about politics among young people and awaken their interest in public affairs. Because an informed and engaged civil society is the foundation of a healthy democracy.
