Description
Israel and Jews around the world are going through difficult times. The mob frenzy that followed on Western universities and in the streets after October 7, 2023, did not show a burning love for Palestine, but revealed a deep hatred for Israel. No other conflict in the world attracts nearly as much attention. Shouts like 'From the river to the sea...' or comparisons of Israelis to Nazis have a common foundation: Israelophobia. And this hatred for the Jewish state is nothing more than old anti-Semitism cloaked in a new, politically correct guise. We are witnessing an incredible alliance: the left and Islamists stand in the same ranks because they have a common enemy. Israel. Few of them realize that they are merely parroting old propaganda. First, the Germans dusted off a thousand-year-old hatred, and then the Soviets perfected it by hiding anti-Semitism in a new packaging. The hatred of the communist bloc was directed against Zionism, which was equated with imperialism and Nazism. Why does Israel provoke such aversion? And why, when it comes to Jews, is part of the West willing to idealize fanatic Islamism, which in turn hates Western values?
