Description
At a meeting of the České Budějovice city council led by the esteemed mayor Florián Kudrna, the agenda for the day was to discuss the expansion of the old town hall building by purchasing the adjacent burgher house. Not all councilors agreed with such an idea, and a major argument was brewing, which was suddenly interrupted by the apparition of a corpse, approaching the mayor's table with a knife in hand. A terrible chaos ensues, and a victim, a man hiding his face behind a mask, lies bleeding on the ground. Only the clerk Petronius maintains his composure, stopping and pursuing the attacker. In one of the alleys, the city guard discovers Petronius bending over the corpse, which clutches a terrifying mask in its hand. Is Petronius the murderer? Why then did the mayor let him go free? But more attacks and dead bodies are piling up. Fear begins to take control of the city...
