Lebl's poetry is poetry of sound, poetry juggling with tones, with timbre, poetry of verses eager for the approaching rhyme or assonance... The ability to develop a stimulus or feeling into a sound fireworks display leaves a welcome space for formulating the feelings of a person who views life and the world around from a distance, with a proper dose of detachment, skepticism, and irony. However, this is not about the versification of a bitter old man. We are still in a world of resonance and imagination, where balance reigns. Words continue to rush towards other sound effects, but they carry meaning, maintain shape and theme, and explore dark depths. Instead of juggling with words, feelings and attitudes are poetically expressed here, which contain a bitter balance, nostalgia, and depth. Many years ago, Zdeněk Lebl organized the All-Friends Conference. With his gift of fearless improvisation, which convinces with its verbal power that everything is as he says, he organized a gathering of several dozen poets in the late normalization gray, who managed to create a Dionysian carnival in Davle for two days, where the nonsensical became meaningful (and sometimes vice versa).
