Description
A new boy moves into the town, a nice chubby kid and a Spider-Man fan. Péťa, a skinny, quirky loner from the fifth grade, inadvertently gains a friend. Spajdy tries to transform Péťa into a superhero and convince him to help find a villain in town that they can fight fairly. This leads them into a dangerous case of 'murder,' involving a mysterious guy named Beast, the town's quirky bartender Pepé, and the boys' class teacher, Parrot. The clues converge at the dump outside of town. Meanwhile, the same case is being investigated by Péťa's two years older sister Monika, who is trying to become an investigative journalist. Her storyline is followed through entries from her secret blog, social media, and video transcripts. This original humorous detective story set in the present is aimed at Czech children in the upper grades of elementary school. The author is the editor-in-chief of ABC magazine, Zdeněk Ležák.
