Description
The book consists of a collection compiled by the author, 'Blues for a Crazy Girl' (most of the texts were created before his military service) and alphabetically arranged other poems and song lyrics from his entire creative period. This edition is visually accompanied by photographs by Pavel Baňka, who, along with Václav Hrabě, Vladimíra Čerepková, and Inka Machulková, performed in 1964 at textappel evenings in Prague's Viola. In the late 1950s, during the golden age of Reduta, Václav Hrabě (1940–1965) also came to Prague. The nonconformist world of young people, following the wave of free jazz, was impacted by the beat generation in the early 60s. Corso, Ferlinghetti, Kerouac, and especially Ginsberg influenced many young people, and soon beat poetry appeared here as well. Hrabět's verses are the most characteristic of this time.
