Description
The text you are holding is the written version of a lecture I once gave in Kladno. Many people told me to publish the text, so I followed that advice. I also wanted to cater to those of you who are interested in the history of our nation but do not want to wade through thick books. This brochure contains, of course in summary, all the necessary data and events as they occurred in the coexistence of Czechs and Germans in the territory of Bohemia and Moravia with Silesia over the last approximately two hundred years. At the same time, I tried to ensure that the information about the coexistence of Czechs with Germans living in Bohemia, Moravia, and Silesia was not one-sided, in the sense that we Czechs are the wronged ones, and they, the Sudeten Germans, are the criminals. We have been accustomed to such a view of history, actually a falsification of history, for more than 70 years. Therefore, based on literature and specific witnesses, I tried to depict the image and perspective from the other side, which remains taboo for us to this day.
