She reviews her entire life and meets her fated love, whom catastrophic floods took from her years ago. The world beyond the threshold of death fascinates her, and she does not want to return to her damaged body, but she has no choice – her journey is not yet over. She has an important task ahead of her that she cannot avoid, closely related to her past. Marie awakens in the intensive care unit and must confront all her former transgressions - her selfish actions come back to her like a boomerang. The trip beyond the borders of death changes Marie's perspective on the world and herself, and the heroine tries to make amends for the damage done.
