Description
Yoga offers great opportunities to bring joy of movement and relaxation into everyday life at home, in kindergarten, or in the first grade of elementary school. The authors present over 30 illustrated cards featuring positions and sequences of exercises specially selected for practicing with children. The cards are intentionally arranged to progress from activity to relaxation, starting with an easy series of movements for warming up and loosening up, through standing exercises, with hands on the ground, seated, and lying down, and ending with dynamic compensation and final relaxation. Each card contains a short description of the exercise along with a motivating image suitable for children and an easy rhyme for memorization.
