Dějepis 9 - Moderní Dějiny, Čtení s porozuměním – Vykoupil Libor (2020)

The history textbook for the 9th grade is created in accordance with modern trends in history teaching. Emphasis is placed on visuality, clarity, logical connections, and interdisciplinary relationships. Recent history is discussed in detail. The textbook texts are systematically and clearly divided into thematic chapters. Each chapter always begins on a new page. The main teaching text is written clearly and simply, considering the age of the students. The textbook also includes excerpts from beautiful literature and related comprehension questions. Each major chapter ends with a review. The textbook contains many illustrative photographs, images, and diagrams. Thanks to these, students will better understand the material. The text is supplemented with timelines and a large number of maps that help orient in the described historical events. The basic text is complemented by interesting facts presented in yellow columns along the edges of the textbook. These texts are not meant to be memorized. To expand English vocabulary, each page features two terms selected from the basic text in the form of a Czech-English glossary in a yellow box at the bottom. For better orientation in the material and text, there is a glossary of the most important terms and a factual, geographical, and name index at the end of the textbook.
