Description
This is a book about Astrid Lindgren – the best writer in the world! At least according to the opinion of many generations of children and their parents... You can read it in many ways. For example, completely normally from the beginning to the end. Then you will learn a lot about what Astrid experienced when she was a child, a girl in her teens, an adult woman, and an old lady. Or you can flip through the book, look at the beautiful pictures, and pick out bits of text here and there. Anything is allowed! The book tells the story of Astrid Lindgren's life and a little about her books and films... As a child, she lived with her loving parents and three siblings on a farm, and according to her, the nature around that home was the best in the world. There were meadows nearby where animals grazed, flowers and fruit trees grew, and birds sang beautifully. Not far away, there was a river where the children loved to swim. There was also the best climbing tree in the world: it was big and had a thick trunk with a hollow. You could climb into the hollow and hide in it. The climbing tree had an owl's nest, which is why they called it the owl tree. Astrid's older brother played a nice prank several times: instead of owl eggs, he slipped chicken eggs into the nest. The owls sat on them and sat on them, and suddenly yellow chicks hatched!...
