Together we will visit interesting places connected to the history of our countries, where the history of monasteries, castles, and churches will breathe upon us. You will encounter natural treasures, babbling brooks, meandering rivers, rocky and romantic valleys. This is Havlíčkobrodsko. A colorful mosaic of forests, fields, pastures, meadows, ponds, streams, and rivers, villages, and ancient towns. The center of the region is Havlíčkův Brod. A town whose history dates back to the 12th century, it delights us with its well-maintained monuments, including churches, a monastery, a historic square, and shady parks along medieval walls. We will be captivated by the impressive silence of the former Pohled monastery with the Gothic church of St. Andrew, while the castle in Přibyslav with its fire museum will attract all enthusiasts of historical and contemporary firefighting technology. And if the statue of Jan Žižka from Trocnov standing near the castle seems somewhat familiar, don't be surprised. It is actually a test cast of a much larger Žižka monument in Prague's Žižkov. In Lipnice nad Sázavou, the quirky characters from the novel The Good Soldier Švejk seem to come to life, and the chapel of St. Lawrence is also part of the Lipnice castle complex.
