Description
Protectorate. A nation, desperately longing for freedom, is crushed by the Nazi vice. In this grim time, teacher František Niederle arrives in Lipnice nad Sázavou to teach at the local municipal school. In the picturesque village deep in Vysočina, he longs to find peace; however, he will experience the exact opposite. In the rocks behind the White Tower, a forward part of the fortifications of the local castle, one March afternoon in 1943, he and his students make a horrific discovery. A series of bizarre events follows, leading František (inexplicably tormented by strange dreams and visions) into the local dark forests and quarries, where he faces not only a confrontation with the Nazi war machine and its Wunderwaffen but also a terrifying revelation that transcends space and time, and even the boundaries of reality itself.
