The book describes the use of cryptography in everyday life. First, it explains the properties of selected cryptographic functions, such as encryption, hashing, and so on. Using these general functions, it then describes transmission protocols PGP, TLS, WPA, IPsec, SSH, Tor, DNSsec, IKE, and MACsec, authentication protocols DAA, EAP, Kerberos, and OpenID Connect, the authorization protocol OAuth, the access protocol RADIUS, and finally the payment protocols 3D Secure and Bitcoin. Additionally, the book describes electronic access control systems, online banking, and payment card protocols.
