Description
When Běla is driven from her home in the rocks as a child, she has no idea that her paths will cross with the one whom she has been warned about since birth. The self-centered prince takes her under his protection in exchange for a service, and she thus becomes part of his world. A world of endless struggles for power and faith in one god. Běla knows she must protect the secret of her origins and her own faith in other gods from the prince at all costs, but despite the daily risk of discovery, she remains close to him. She grows up in his shadow and remains loyal to him even in difficult times when ancient forces of the old messengers of the gods join the struggle for power, forces that the prince cannot defeat with his sword. Běla, who would prefer to remain forever hidden in the shadows, is thus forced to step out of them and reveal her abilities in a world where they are not welcomed.
