Description
No one has yet dedicated themselves to the documentation of windmills and pumps on postcards. Historical postcards are an invaluable source of our knowledge. There are many mills whose specific appearance we know only from these postcards. From them, we can read the type of mill, the peculiarities of their construction, and often the location where the mill actually stood can be determined by the surroundings. To fulfill this debt, I initiated the compilation of available historical postcards into this book. The aim was to present as many locations as possible where a windmill or pump operated.
