This book is the culmination of several years of collecting by Martin Beneš. At the height of its glory, (Old) Plzeň, with its eight ecclesiastical buildings, was of comparable significance to royal Prague. The main goal of this book is to showcase Old Plzenec through authentic postcards. The sent lithographs and postcards also offer a glimpse into messages written on the front side over a hundred years ago. ***** The individual chapters are divided according to city districts or thematically, as is the case with the window postcards in the first chapter. Each postcard also includes the year of publication or the date of sending based on the postal stamp on the stamp.
