Valmez Forever is the second book by Zdena Koláček, a native of Valašské Meziříčí. In it, the author returns to his childhood and youth spent in his hometown in the 60s and 70s, when long hair and blue jeans were not just a fashion statement for the youth of that time, but primarily a manifestation of generational rebellion and non-belonging to the prevailing conditions. Zdena Koláček (1956) began publishing his stories only after turning forty in literary magazines Tvar, Host, and Babylon. The impetus for his writing was a meeting with the writer Charles Bukowski in 1993. His first book was a collection of stories Once Upon a Time in the East, published by Host in 2003. The book is intended exclusively for adult readers.
