Anebo jen nezvyk? – Weinberger Jiří (2018)

These 74 short poems could only be written in one go by a maniac on his last leg. However, this material was created in various situations over several decades. The drawings included in the book are assigned to the texts based on the shared views of the poet and the painter on life and its diverse forms. Jiří Weinberger, a graduate of the Probability and Mathematical Statistics specialization at Charles University, has navigated through the curve of mathematical theory – simulation modeling – industrial practice – training activities, while also pursuing his other seemingly opposing interests: literary cabarets – original songs – authorial improvisational acting. He has written 15 books of poetry, short stories, song lyrics, and scripts, sometimes alone and sometimes with co-authors. He also drew attention to himself as a translator of the poetry of American poet Ogden Nash and through his song lyrics for the play Myška z bříška at the Divadlo v Dlouhé. Petr Wohl is a graduate of the 1st Faculty of Medicine at Charles University and works as a diabetologist, endocrinologist, and head of the Home Parenteral Nutrition Center at IKEM, and lectures at the 2nd Faculty of Medicine at Charles University.
