Description
What do Barcelona, Warsaw, and Kraslice have in common? Seemingly nothing, yet in the hot and at times chilling novel 'Endless Summer Days,' they are connected by a thrilling story that could take place thousands of kilometers away, but just as easily in your street. The author deliberately goes against the grain of conventional storytelling and distinguishes himself from most genre productions with his original style. He weaves the reader into the mysterious fate of a little girl from a mountain town, who, along with her mother, suffers under the oppression of a sadistic tyrant. Their torment might have remained forever hidden if it weren't for an old man from the neighborhood, who begins to suspect that something horrifying is happening behind the walls of their house. Although he himself is experiencing the pain of a family breakdown caused by the tragic death of his daughter, he decides to take action, for which he struggles to gather the courage. However, this is only one piece of the puzzle of the life drama that the author presents with his unconventional narrative style. The central character, a young journalist named Michal, is also interestingly portrayed, as he does not fit the mold of a classic novel hero. He is more pushed along by life than he resists it. It is only during a vacation in Spain that he is jolted out of his lethargy, where he encounters nymphs that throw him into a whirlwind of unexpected twists and alter his fate...
