Skřítek Svatojánek, víla Lucinka a zvířátka – Socha Radomír (2017)

The book captures the adventurous tales of the sprite Svatojánek and the fairy Lucinka. You will read about how Svatojánek set off to fetch mist for Lucinka's dress and inadvertently angered the water sprite, and how he managed to coax diamonds for a necklace for Lucinka from the gnome on Midsummer Night. Furthermore, you will learn about Svatojánek's attempts to fly like birds, how he saved a bee from a crusader and nearly got stung by wasps, and what he experienced in the magical kingdom of mushrooms. And that's not all. You will surely be curious about how Svatojánek and his friend managed to save the animals from the evil cloud creature Sněhomor and the ice man Mrazivec. In the end, everything turns out well. The fairy tales are complemented by gentle illustrations from the illustrator Zdeňka Študlarová. The author was employed as a senior researcher at the Biological Center of the Academy of Sciences in České Budějovice. In his field, he has published over 150 papers in prestigious foreign journals. In addition, he has also published 20 books, including popular science works about mushrooms aimed at adults and fairy tale-themed books for children.
