Description
On the anniversary of the meeting of St. Francis with the Sultan. Countless books have been published about pilgrimages and journeys to the Holy Places of Israel. The presented work combines elements of a travelogue and a spiritual diary and compares them with two literary sources: the "travelogue" of Kryštof Harant of Polžice, who journeyed to the Holy Land in 1598, and the work of the Italian mystic Maria Valtorta, who developed details of the New Testament gospels in her visions. The book Pilgrimage to the Holy Land does not hide the historical and contemporary tensions between Israelis and Arabs that every pilgrim will feel at the Holy Places, yet it also offers hope that things will get better one day.
