A cycling guide to some mountain road passes in the Alps, Pyrenees, and Apennines. Michal Třetina founded the cycling club Mike in Mělník and took Czech cyclists to the high mountains south of our borders – he discovered, shortly after the Velvet Revolution, that there is something wonderful about conquering mountain road passes in the Alps, Pyrenees, and Apennines by bicycle. He published a very successful series about the passes in the magazine Cykloturistika until his tragic death in 2015. The book How I Rode to Heaven is a compilation of these articles that have not yet been published in book form.
