The book chronicles the life stories of another sixteen former legionary commanders (Army General Josef ŠNEJDÁREK, Division General František NOSÁL, Army General Ludvík KREJČÍ, Division General Vladimír PŘIKRYL, Army General Vojtěch Boris LUŽA, Division General Miloš ŽÁK, Division General Jiří HUDEČEK, Division General Josef KOUTŇÁK, Division General Alois MACHAČÍK, Division General Josef BERÁNEK, Army General Sergěj Jan INGR, Brigadier General Vladimír KAJDOŠ, Division General Miroslav Tomáš MIKLÍK, General Justice Jan STANĚK, Army General Bohumil BOČEK, Army General Šimon DRGÁČ). Among them are commanders of combat units, intelligence officers, technicians, and military educators. Several held the highest positions in the General Staff of the Czechoslovak Armed Forces and were members of the governments of General Syrový and the exile government in London. They fought in Serbian units, in Czechoslovak legions in Russia, France, and Italy. Most of them significantly participated in the anti-Nazi resistance, both on the home front and abroad. In addition to describing their fates, the book contains more than 200 photographs and introduces key moments in the formation of our legions in Russia, France, and Italy, as well as significant battles that Czechoslovak legionnaires went through.
