Description
Every electrical engineer knows how complex electrical devices are. Designing and implementing them to be functional and safe, meeting all the requirements not only of their users but also of regulations, is almost a superhuman task. For the device to be functional, its individual components must connect correctly. In addition, it must be connected to the power grid and, through control and auxiliary circuits, must connect to other devices, including non-electrical ones, with which it must communicate flawlessly. The finished electrical device is the result of collaboration among designers, engineers, assembly workers, and those who take care of its operation. All of them must connect in their work, and they all must use the same language. A significant part of the communication language of electrical engineers is the labeling of electrical objects, devices, and their individual components. It is obvious that today, due to the increasing complexity of electrical devices, it is no longer possible to rely on the labeling system that was used just a few years ago. National peculiarities have long been abandoned, and there is an increasing effort to use a unified labeling system in electrical engineering worldwide. Currently...
