After the success of the first edition of the Color Alphabet, a new, expanded edition is now available to readers. The author of this unique workbook says: "Dear colleagues – teachers, parents, you have before you a workbook intended for professionals – primary school teachers as well as for parents of preschoolers and students in the 1st and 2nd grades, but mainly for the children themselves, who struggle with the various shapes of the printed and written letters of our alphabet while getting acquainted with them (children must memorize a total of 35 x 4 different characters of the Czech alphabet during their first year, and read and write them correctly). My aim was to utilize not only cognitive components in the children's learning process but also to allow children to recognize individual letters in a playful manner, using puzzles, color associations, and the rhythm of rhymes – in short, all sorts of mnemonic aids, as is natural and understandable for younger school-age children. The FIRST PART of the workbook contains the shapes of capital printed letters, arranged alphabetically. The letters are presented in the form of a coloring puzzle.
