Veverčák a Bosonožka na Šumavě – Klimek Hynek (2022)

In your hands, you hold the second installment of the adventures of the squirrel Zdravík and his friend Julie as they explore Czech lookouts, towers, and viewpoints. The author Hynek Klimek presents to young readers not only places with distant views but also heritage sites and the surrounding nature in an extraordinary way. This time, the envoy from the fairy-tale realm, the squirrel Zdravík, and the student Julie, nicknamed Bosonožka, will set off for Šumava. They are accompanied by a group of friends who belong to tourists that prefer to hike barefoot in nature. They will visit the lookouts Vysoký Kamýk and Jarník in the Písek Mountains, as well as Strakonice with the castle tower Rumpál. During their stay in Šumava, they will climb Javorník and Královský kámen, admire Kašperské Hory with the Kašperk Castle, Sušice with the lookout on Svatobor, Celtic hillforts, and also Vimperk and Kubova Huť, from where they will head to Boubín. They will also visit other places in the South Bohemian and West Bohemian parts of Šumava. On their journeys, they will experience many interesting adventures, not only during their climbs to towers and lookouts.
