Veverčák a Bosonožka – Klimek Hynek (2021)

In the fairy tale realm, they were horrified that the old wise fairy tales were being forgotten, and moreover, their heroes were being ridiculed. They were being replaced by monstrous creatures that knew nothing but to fight and brawl, and violence was becoming an everyday occurrence for readers. Therefore, they decided to send someone into the world who would remind people of the original beautiful fairy tales. And so, in the Písek Mountains, a peculiar creature suddenly appeared – a squirrel-like being. In the fairy tale realm, they endowed him not only with knowledge of the contemporary world but also with the ability to speak human language and communicate with other animals. He tirelessly ran through the forest, climbed to the tops of the tallest trees, and observed the surrounding landscape. A wise owl advised him to head to a nearby lookout tower, from where he could see even further. There, the squirrel-like creature met Julia, who loved to go on hikes barefoot, and with whom he became friends. In her company, he dared to venture among humans for the first time. Julia took him to her home in the outskirts of Prague, where he met her friends, also tourists who walked in nature without shoes. Together, they set off on a series of hikes, where they would encounter many experiences and adventures. They would climb a number of well-known and lesser-known lookout towers, towers, and viewpoints, each associated with interesting stories and legends.
