The mysterious Rychlebské Mountains. A land of deep valleys, crystal-clear streams, ancient castles, abandoned villages, and immeasurable wealth hidden underground. A land where history walked, and a place that has been forgotten. They are named after the same town, but their name sounds different in Poland and differently in the Czech Republic. Even many locals are unaware of where the ridges of the Rychlebské Mountains begin and where they end. We find in them corners abandoned and forgotten by both God and man, as well as places teeming with life where water heals thousands of spa guests. It is simply a mountain range full of contradictions. Perhaps it is the history that has made this region aware of the wealth contained in gold and other minerals hidden underground, as well as in trade and production. It provided it with education, culture, and beautiful architecture. However, this land was then divided and plunged into poverty and oblivion. And as if that were not enough, it ultimately took away the people who inhabited, mined, and protected these mountains. It brought new settlers to both sides of the border, but often they did not know what to do with their newly acquired homes. The little villages that gave this region its diversity disappeared, leaving only unhealed wounds in the landscape. Even tourists did not flock to the Rychlebské Mountains in the post-war years.
