There are many larger and more famous rivers like the Olšava. More of a stream than a river, or even a brook, as chronicler Kosmas called it in his chronicle, it is today as forgotten as the events that once took place in its basin. For a long time, it formed the border between Moravia and Hungary, and along it ran a land path connecting both countries. We will also travel along it, starting right at the source of the Olšava under the ridge of the White Carpathians. At the new Světlov castle, we will attend a concert by the orchestra of the serfs, and in Bojkovice, we will accompany the mushroom gatherers-animal catchers before their long journey to distant lands to the "weeping oak," where they bid farewell to their families. We will visit all three guaranteed birthplaces of J. A. Comenius and help the townspeople in Uherský Brod, along with Černý Janek, defend the city walls against the invaders. The din of war will also accompany us to the sites of two major battles – to Lucké pole, where Prince Vladislav defeated the twelve-year-old Hungarian King Stephen, and to Hrubý bor. The young men from Vlčnov still remember the famous victory of Henry of Poděbrady over Matthias Corvinus with their ride of kings. The last war's victim was the Pepčín chateau in Oboře nad Veletinami, built by the aging Count Václav Kounic for Josefína, a girl...
