The book focuses on the issue of social responsibility and sustainability in the context of Czech companies. Since social responsibility itself is based on three fundamental pillars, the book is designed to provide insight into all three pillars, both from a theoretical understanding and, especially, from a practical perspective. Where appropriate, examples are included for better comprehension of the explanations. The introductory chapters are based on theoretical knowledge that cultivates social responsibility and sustainability itself. They show its roots and thus the principles from which current modern trends evolve. Furthermore, the book offers a glimpse into the historical development after 1989. It is extremely important for our republic to engage with this development, as history shapes the present and lays the foundations for the future. The following chapters provide a more detailed look at individual areas (pillars). Both economic issues and social and ecological aspects are represented here.
