Deutsch im Gespräch – Höppnerová Věra (2021)

The German conversation textbook is designed for intermediate users who want to improve primarily in speaking. It contains 30 topics reflecting spoken language in everyday situations. The individual lessons are not arranged by difficulty but by their relevance to certain thematic groups. Therefore, activities related to leisure time (Freizeit, Sport, Urlaub, Fernsehen) are followed by topics concerning public life (Schulwesen, Kriminalität, Europäische Union). In teaching, it is not necessary to cover them in this order; rather, the instructor can choose topics based on interests, level, and composition of the course, or time availability. The vocabulary from previous lessons is therefore not assumed anywhere. Users are introduced to the realities of German-speaking countries not only in the relevant lessons, but almost every lesson includes a comparison of their specifics with Czech reality. At the same time, attention is also paid to Czech realities. Students are systematically guided to be able to talk about our education system, social conditions, our cuisine, our customs, etc. The individual lessons have a fixed structure.
