Description
The specialized economic texts contained in the publication are meant to serve as a resource in courses for economically oriented students. The scope of the texts is designed for one semester. The content of individual sections is based on original materials and has been further developed in the form of exercises and translations. The aim of the publication is to familiarize students with the basic professional terminology in the main sectors of the economy, or the narrower specialization of "tourism." The introductory part of each lesson deals with the professional terms of the relevant area and their explanations in English. The next part consists of shorter texts supplemented with various forms of exercises. Attention is also given to translations from Czech to English, both of professional phrases and coherent sentences derived from the lesson texts. At the end of each lesson, a Czech-English glossary of terms is provided. An additional feature of the publication is a key to some exercises and translations.
