The publication Poor Prague offers a look at poverty in the city in the 19th and especially the first half of the 20th century from several perspectives. Historical visual materials, primarily photographs and prints, illustrate the survival strategies of the impoverished classes, capture places associated with poverty that no longer exist, and introduce the institutions of poor and social care as they formed since the Josephinian era. An inserted English translation of the texts.
