Carbon City: Sanguis Carbo is a collection of short stories by Ostrava's fantasy authors, who have set the plots of their tales in their hometown, but have created specific environments of alternative realities for it. In the book, you will find several standalone stories united by a common conclusion, in which the heroes of each story must deal with the challenges of a superior reality. The project was born from the idea that Ostrava can have many forms. It is a place with a rich history, and its realities themselves invite experimentation. The authors strive to highlight not only their connection to Ostrava but also its cultural and social diversity in their unique way. In a certain sense, an original project emerges that allows for the development of the central idea in the future as well. The authors' imagination can be as colorful as the city itself. The reader thus becomes a witness to unconventional journeys into the worlds of Ostrava's legends, the era of dark industrial flourishing, the dynamic emergence of social classes, or the pressing problems stemming from the present.
