Description
The book presents the battle of the three emperors known as Austerlitz and provides a brief explanation of the historical course of the battle in the context of modern historical reconstructions. Every year, around the turn of November and December, on the occasion of the anniversary of the Battle of Austerlitz, about a thousand 'Napoleonic soldiers' from across Europe gather in South Moravia to 'reconstruct' it during a winter weekend in the largest regularly held commemorative event organized by the Austerlitz Project since 1998. In 2017, French Army General Gobilliard, president of the Association of Honorary Legion Holders, stated: 'For the first time in my life, I saw such a demonstration and maneuvers that I learned about at the military academy of Saint Cyr!'
