Description
In 1922, Rudolf Steiner explained to economics students in the so-called National Economy Course the laws governing the economic process, that is, the process by which values are created through the action of labor and capital. He demonstrated the driving and resting factors of this process and pointed out unhealthy phenomena, such as the accumulation of capital in land or slavery hidden in wage labor. He outlined the conditions for a healthy economic process and the necessity of certain steps for its recovery. Contemporary German economist Stephan Eisenhut confronts Steiner's interpretation with key economic theories and the economic and economic-political practices of today. Thanks to his knowledgeable approach, readers can more easily understand Steiner's main economic ideas and comprehend economics from the perspective of spiritual science. This understanding is further facilitated by a wealth of colorful diagrams and a rich set of notes. Only by understanding the laws described in this book can we shape economic events to serve humanity and its true needs, rather than enriching some at the expense of others.
