Description
Few cities were visited by Rudolf Steiner as many times as Prague. From 1907 to 1924, he came here a total of twelve times. He delivered dozens of lectures for the public as well as for members of the Theosophical and later Anthroposophical Society. He met with several prominent figures in Prague, many of whom attended his lectures, including Gustav Meyrink, Franz Kafka, Max Brod, Berta Fantová and her sister Ida Freundová, Hugo Bergman, and also Albert Einstein. The book informs readers about Steiner's relationship with these personalities and his specific and important influence in Prague, whether in the fields of medicine, education, art, or religion. It also includes a significant interpretation by Steiner regarding the Prague astronomical clock, from which his lectures on the topics of Necessity and Freedom and the Duality of the Prague Astronomical Clock, published by Fabula, are derived.
