Description
When most readers hear the name Juraj Višný, they mainly, or perhaps only, remember Superman chasing the beautiful Olga Schoberová in the comedy Who Wants to Kill Jessie? But who knows how he survived the war, began weight training in the late 1950s and initiated the development of bodybuilding as a new sport in what was then Czechoslovakia? This unique autobiography describes his life in Bratislava in the mid-1960s, the way the events of August 1968 changed his life, his emigration and the beginning of a new life as an architect in Switzerland. He also shares his great love of travel and presents dozens of photographs from his private archive, many published for the first time. The story is supplemented by memories from his fellow bodybuilders, completing the portrait of the first true influencer who motivated dozens and hundreds of people in former Czechoslovakia to radically change their lifestyles. The book is in Czech.
