Description

Journalist and writer František Roček summarizes in his latest book what he warned about in the press nearly 20 years ago. He cynically evaluates the military situation in the world, remaining impartial to anyone. The book is a cold analysis of facts, uncolored by any ideology or political correctness. With his characteristic impartiality, the author offends both left-wing and right-wing commentators, as well as the media to which they are beholden. He considers the current situation in Asia and Africa and the migration invasion into the EU as a consequence of European arrogant political dullness. In this context, he demonstrates that bombing hospitals is normal, taking civilians hostage has been common since ancient times, and terrorist attacks have been happening since time immemorial. Nothing extraordinary is occurring. He reminds us that the winner takes all – and a winner cannot be expected in Europe under the current state of affairs. He views the United Nations as equally burnt out as the League of Nations at the end of the 1930s. The establishment of the EU and NATO was rational, but politicians have led them to the brink of powerlessness. In this sense, the book is a brutal inventory of reality.
